Race Information
Starting and finishing at the beautiful American River Canyon Overlook Park, in historic Auburn, run on the historic Western States trail, cross no-hands bridge and tackle one of the toughest climbs in the area, the dreaded K2 climb. 50K runners get the privileged of running K2 twice, in addition to the switch-backs of the Auburn-Folsom Dam Hill. If you’re not wasted after that, then stomp into cruise mode, hit the Knickerbocker aid station, then traverse through meadows, single track, and farmland rolling hills on your way through Cool to No Hands Bridge then back to Auburn where you’ll be treated to a wide variety of food and beverages. Preliminary results will be posted every 15-20 mins as people are finishing.
Carpooling is highly encouraged. Bring some collapsible chairs for yourselves and hang out for a bit post-race.

but this is a race, so don’t linger too long! Expect to find variety at
our aid stations, including sweet and salty offerings like trail mix,
pretzels, cookies, boiled potatoes with salt for dipping, regular soda,
water (of course!), elecrolyte drink, PB&J finger sandwiches, gummy
bears, salt tablets, you get the idea. There will also be general first
aid items but no anti-inflamatory medicine. We strongly encourage you to
carry at least one 20oz bottle from which to sip while you enjoy your
