Course Description
The Ossian Mountain Run will take place on the mountain at Swain Resort. It is a 4 mile loop with 1200 feet of climbing. The 8 mile race will be two loops of the course. The race will utilize the network of trails on the mountain. It is a challenging course that includes rocks, roots, and plenty of elevation change.
The 4 mile and 8 mile race both start at 10 AM.

The course will offer a water stop at the start/finish line for those doing the 8 mile (two loop) race. There will also be a water stop at the halfway point on the course.
This will be a green race. There will be no cups at the water stops. Runners must carry their own bottle or hydration pack if the plan on having water on the course.
Awards
Awards for the 8 mile race will be given to the top overall winners for men and women. Age group awards will be given to the top finisher in 10 year increments.
