Welcome back to the 14th edition of the Lumberjack Endurance Runs! The course is the same as last year with the addition of the section of forbidden that was still being logged last year. We are looking forward to another great year in the Port Gamble forest and can't wait to see everyone this year! All entrants will receive sweatshirts this year with the option of purchasing a Patagonia capilene cool daily shirt. All finishers of all 3 distances will receive amazing custom medals made by a local artist! Buckles for all 100 mile finishers!
Race Location
The race is located in beautiful Port Gamble, Wa. Start/finish is at the Uplands, 1/4 mile south of town on state route 104. Plenty of parking and car/tent camping will be available and room for RV"s. No running water at start/finish but there is a store in town.
Aid Stations
3 fully stocked and energetic aid stations on the course. There will be hot food throughout the night at all of the stations. Tailwind will be available along with lots of great ultra food!
Pacers
Pacing is allowed after 50 miles (loop 4) for the 100 mile distance. There also will be a location for drop bags for everyone.
The 100K can have a pacer for the 5th loop (after 50 miles)
No pacing for the 50 mile distance
Course
The course is eight 12.5 mile loops with 3 aid stations per loop (start/finish included). It is a mixture of single track and dirt roads (about 75% / 25%). There are no large climbs, but definitely lots of ups and downs. There is approximately 1500 ft per loop for a total elevation gain of 12,000 feet. marked with reflective tape and reflective arrows.
Camping/Accommodations
There is plenty of room at the Uplands for car camping, camping, and RV's. No running water at the start/finish but the town is 1/4 mile away. There are 2 guesthouses in Port Gamble and 3 hotels in Poulsbo (10-15 minutes from start/finish).
