Withlacoochee River Run

COURSE INFORMATION:

NEW FOR 2024... The Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K event is now a DAY race on SUNDAY. We are also adding a "Firefly Run" on Saturday night for those who plan to camp.

Since the trails in the Withlacoochee River Park are so beautiful, we want to give runners a chance to SEE them! Therefore, the race will be in the morning! The course is still on the hiking trails (not paved) and is a combination of single and double track. The half marathon and 10K course takes runners by the Withlacoochee River and into a small section of the Green Swamp, while the 5K course stays within the park boundaries. Participants in the half marathon will complete 2 full loops, plus a bonus "starter loop". 10K participants will complete 1 full loop, while the 5K course stays completely in the park for an abbreviated loop.

BIB PICKUP:
Sunday, April 21st, at SHELTER 3. Registration begins 1 hour before the race starts.


START TIMES:
Half Marathon - 8:00am
10K - 8:30am
5K - 9:00am
The course starts and ends near the playground at Shelter #3 and will stay open until 12:00pm


AID STATIONS:
There are two aid stations. The first aid station will be for all 3 distances and will have water, GU Ractane, and gels. The second aid station will support the 10k and half marathon runners. This station will also have water and Roctane, as well as soda and chips.


POST RACE:
Every runner who completes any distance will receive a finishers award. The top three males and females from each distance will also receive a specially handcrafted award. Once you get your award, grab a camp chair, grab a hot dog, and hang out to cheer on other runners!



Camping

Group Tent Camping is available on Saturday night for those participants who want to come over the night before the race. Spaces are first-come, first-serve and they're FREE! The campsite is primitive camping, but there are restrooms a short walk from the campground. Please note: pets are not allowed in the group camping area.

RV Camping is also available in the open recreational field. These spots are only available for "day of" registration. Sites have water and 30 amp hook-up. You may reserve your spot at the park office. $25 per site - checks or cash only.


You may set up your tent anytime between 4pm-8pm on Saturday. There will be a Firefly Run at 8:30pm starting from the group campground. This will be a "fun run" so the pace will be casual. All campers are invited (and encouraged) to join us!

Rollover Policy

A1 Ultra Events does not have a refund policy. However, registered runners can earn a "rollover credit". The rollover credit option is a 75% credit towards the following year. (Available until 7 days before the race.) Participants who choose this option need to re-register for the race the following year and their credit will be waiting at checkout.
