About The Race
The Y’allhalla Ultras has it all: waterfalls, boulder scrambles, riverbanks, bridges, and lakeside trails are just some of the features that make your journey to Y’allhalla an unforgettable Bluegrass experience.
The race is an out-and-back route along the Sheltowee Trace beginning and ending at Kentucky’s Sheltowee Camp - an incredible venue complete with campsites, cabins, bunkhouse, and a full bathhouse with showers!
Every year the race changes directions!
- In even-numbered years the race runs north-south through Laurel County, Kentucky past the natural arches of The Narrows, through Sinking Creek, and over the sandstone trails to the 49er.
- In odd-numbered years, the race runs south-north through Whitley County over the Laurel Lake Spillway, along the banks of the Cumberland River, and over the famous Cumberland Falls.
