This Event Took Place Sat. Aug 31, 2019

Race Description

The Escambia County Equestrian Center, a 178-acre park will be the venue for the 11th Wildcat Ultramarathon. All race distances start at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31. Register by August 1st to receive a custom bib number with your name printed on it. This race is a USA Track & Field sanctioned and insured event (Event License ID: #149595).
The Wildcat Ultras are the perfect "First" 100 mile or 100k run. The course will consist of a 2.5 mile loop that is comprised of mostly grass and dirt. The elevation gain/loss is very minimal; however, the Florida Panhandle is notorious for being extremely hot and humid this time of year! This 5k course (2.5 mile section) has been used to host the FHSAA Cross Country 2A District and Regional Championships, Gulf Coast Stampede, and Esca-Rosa Panhandle Championships. Please check your email the last week of August and make sure you go through the runner's information packet as there will be important details listed in there that may not appear elsewhere.

Lodging

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR YOUR RV SPOT -- PLEASE CONTACT THE RD's DIRECTLY!
The Board of County Commissioners voted to increase the Tourist Development Tax (TDT) from 4% to 5% effective April 1, 2021. This tax affects the Equestrian Center's recreational vehicle and trailer site fees. RV hookups at the Equestrian facility are now $25/night including sales tax and TDT tax.

The Equestrian Center has RV parking, and the cost is $25 per day (includes tax, water, and electrical hookups). We have raised the price this year as we will be renting out the arena section of Center. With this rented out, runners are FREE to camp - or set up - under the roof. **If you decide to plug into a wall outlet, you will be charged an RV fee.** Showers are also available on-site on the south end of the arena, please bring your own toiletries and towels.
