Run Info
Welcome back to the 5th edition of the Howland Trail Race! The course will be a 5 mile trail race taking part mostly in shaded woods on single track hiking/biking trails. It will begin near the preserve barn and progress up a grassy path into the trail system. The trails are mostly smooth with a few minor stonewall crossings as well as some natural drainage dips. The terrain will be relatively hilly by climbing up some 280 feet twice in the race before being rewarded with fast, flowy downhill sections. This is an excellent trail/cross country hybrid for someone interested in trail running for the first time! This race is self supported so there will be no aid stations on course.

Registration: August 10th-September 24th: $30
September 25th-Race Day Registration: $40
Please consider signing up before race day! Race Day Registration and bib pick up is from 7:00-8:30am

Who does this race benefit?
The race proceeds will benefit the Friends of Howland Preserve Inc. and their ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the property features as well as a portion going to American Legion Post 457 and the Damon S. Young Memorial Scholarship in Tunkhannock!
