Year 3!
After taking a year off, due to family priorities, we are excited to welcome you back for year 3 of Almira 50 mile /marathon ! This years course will be counterclockwise ((both loops)
Overview
Almira 50 is a 26 ish mile loop run 2 times, which will be covering beautiful single track, ridgeline running, swamp stomping, and pretty much anything and everything that Village Creek offers.
There will be a single loop trail marathon option as well if you’re just not quite ready to bite the deuce.
Expect around 100 ft / mile of vert on average. Detailed Map coming soon! “Almira" will encompass ALL that VC has to offer!
Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pick Up ( Pavilion 1 ) will be from 5-7:30 pm Friday, April 28 & 4:30-5:30am Saturday ( Race morning) at Pavilion # 1 in Picnic Area (Start-Finish ) there will be a mandatory runner check-in race morning.
Starting Time
6:00 a.m. Race Start for both marathon and 50 miler
Aid
There will be a total of 4 aid Stations. Water & Skratch Hydration and normal (packaged) fare will be available at each station. Consider weather ( Ave temps 50-75 )and terrain in your planning of fluids and calories!
Runners MUST check in & out of every AS w/ the assigned. Volunteer!
This IS A CUP FREE EVENT please bring your own!
Drop Bags & Crew
Drop Bags will be allowed at Start/Finish Aid Station.
Crew will have access at 3 locations : Start/Finish AS, Lake Dunn AS, and Horse Campgrounds, NO Crew will be allowed at Pipe Line AS.
