The Course

This is a rugged course that features everything a trail enthusiast could ask for, all packed into 10 kilometers and 1800' of elevation gain! Technical single-track, steep climbs, bombing downhills, mud, and scenic vistas.

Start at Five Fields Farm, traverse the xc ski trail that connects to the Bald Pate parking lot, head down Moose Trail for 1 mile, turn left up the west side of the South Face Loop trail to start the first climb, continue straight onto the Foster Pond Lookout Trail, continue right on the Foster Pond Lookout Trail for an out-and-back at the viewpoint, continue on your way back from the viewpoint to the junction of Foster Pond Lookout and Bob Chase, take a left to climb up Bob Chase, follow Bob Chase all the way through the summit, then head down the east side of the South Face Loop Trail, continue on South Face Loop Trail until you reach the Pate Trail junction, take a right and climb up Pate trail (Steep at 40% grade!) to the summit, turn left at the summit and back to the west side of the South Face Loop Trail, descend the South Face Loop Trail back onto Moose Trail, continue through the Bald Pate parking lot to the xc ski trail, to the finish at Five Fields Farm.

Aid Station

There will be one aid station. This will be located at the junction of Bob Chase and Foster Pond Lookout Trail, approximately 3 miles in. The aid station will have water, Tailwind, and some minimal food options. Please be prepared to be self-sufficient if possible, the aid station will be there to help, but should only be relied upon in a pinch.

Volunteers

Not interested in running but still want to be involved? Consider volunteering! We are mainly looking for individuals to direct participants at key points on the course and to help participants at the start/finish, and at the aid station. Help our participants stay hydrated, nourished, and on course! Any and all help is greatly appreciated, no experience necessary. Reach out to raceseries@lelt.org with questions and interest.
