2026 Night Hawk Fatass

2026 will be the final year our current Race Directors to put on the Night Hawk and we are changing things up. We have decided we are going to hold a “fatass” instead of a race that you have to sign up and pay for.

We will provide aid from 7pm – 10 pm on June 27th.

We will have water, Tailwind and some light trail food for your venture out on the trails. Burgers, hot dogs and chips along with some beer and soda will also be provided for your post run enjoyment. With a fatass runners typically bring something to share like a potluck; cookies, snacks, whatever you feel like sharing.

There will be no timing, just running. We have arranged to have a photographer from Mile 90 there to capture our final hurrah. This is still a great way to get in some miles on the trails at night if you are training for the Hawk race in September.

Event Headquarters will be at the Wakarusa Cabin near Land's End. You are welcome to start there or start at the Trail Head near Shelter 1. We will utilize the trails from Land's End to the Trail Head, both white and blue. Run as little or as much as you want with aid provided from 7pm-10pm.

If you are interested in taking over as a race director for the Night Hawk we would gladly help you with a future event in 2027. Just let us know!
