Echo 136

State Park Dr.

Whitewater, WI 136 Miler

Registration closes: Tue, Sep 22 @ 10:00 PM CT

Southern Kettle Welcome.

The hospitality of the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is inviting, consuming and eager to greet you. This is where you’ll start your 136 mile journey headed North. All of the miles you travel on are those of the Ice Age State Trail. From gentle wide groomed trails, single tracks that you could traverse for days, bike paths and road connectors this course has it all. Over the 55 hours given you’ll connect sections to aid stations, dots to dots and yourself deeper with purpose. Nature has a way of doing just that and we are thrilled to create a space of growth for you both.

What’s in a name?

All of our events are named something with great meaning. “Echo”, to call out and sound returns, only here it’s of our 2025 event “Fallinline” just now headed in the other direction. Where lessons bounce off the rocks, roots and trees to come back to you as a response to relentlessly persist forward. We promise you will be challenged, it will almost always get worse, but you will come out of the valley to a peak again. These are metaphorical sentences of course, but your desire to complete the course shall be a statement you make all on your own.
We’ll be there every moment with you.

Great Expectations.

Our number one goal is to have all of the tools for you to succeed. Aid stations provided along the way with all have full coverage sides and canopy top with chairs and cots available to rest as needed. They will be stocked with water, soda, ice and an electrolyte drink. The foods one will expect will all be there as well; candies, crunchies, salty things, warm hearty, and cold grabs all depending on the times the stations are open. A menu will go out on what the main entree will be.
We will be cognizant of dietary preferences of vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, gluten free to free range “I’ll eat whatever’. If you are truly CELIAC, please let me know and I’ll be happy to store your food at the aid stations you choose. I cannot or won’t guarantee gluten cross contaminations.

Support.

There will be 9 fully stocked (covered tents, chairs, cots, meal options, all the snacks, water, soda and an electrolyte drink) aid stations on the course. Mile markers attached to the locations are those from the FarOut app of the Ice Age trail map. The next set of numbers are the miles between stations. The placement may change due to the trail management and number of entrants, but we will update any changes as they come up.
A more though description will be in the “Runners Manual” when posted on our website @Tydish.org.
