Welcome to the Pigtails Run

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Unfortunately, the 20th Pigtails Run had to be postponed due to major, historic, catastrophic flooding.

There will now be two Pigtails Run events in Maple Valley in 2026. To ensure you are registering for the correct event, please read carefully:
𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧.

𝗣𝗜𝗚𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗦 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗩𝗦. 𝗣𝗜𝗚𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘
This event should not be confused with the Pigtails Challenge. Both races were started by the amazing Van Phan, and after 10 years she passed the torch. The two races are now managed by different RDs, but both still maintain the grassroots, family-of-runners atmosphere that was intended. Both have great community support.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦?
We want to support anyone who wants to get out and run. That said, this may not be the best choice for a first race. On the other hand, it could be a great choice if you understand what to expect and you are not expecting a large, fully supported event (with water stops and porta-potties everywhere).

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗙𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁—𝗮𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁—but still low support.

Don’t expect water stops or porta-potties every two miles, and don’t expect a race shirt or a beer at the finish. (There are multiple stores not far from the finish line.)
