Itinerary
DAY 1 - Set sail to the end of the world
Embark on your journey of a lifetime from Ushuaia! Step aboard the RMS St Helena and get comfortable as you meet the expedition team, and wave goodbye to civilisation. Take in the sunset as you navigate the Beagle Channel, observing the scenic Mackinlay Pass.
DAYS 2 & 3 - Follow in the footsteps of great explorers
Navigate the Drake Passage, the infamous waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans where nutrient-rich waters sustain a vibrant ecosystem.
Pass the time relaxing in the jacuzzis and sauna, get a last workout in at the gym or sip 24hr tea and coffee in one of the many viewing rooms. Make the most of our multitude of lectures on Antarctic wildlife, history, and geology provided by experts in their fields. Spot plentiful wildlife including albatrosses, petrels and migrating whales. By the end of Day 3, the first sighting of icebergs and snow-capped peaks will signal your arrival at the South Shetland Islands.
DAY 4 - Achieve every runners dream with 21km/42km/50km races in Antarctica
The day some of you have been training for - Race Day! Based on weather, a number of sites are at our disposal for hosting this unique run to help you push your limits at the end of the world. For those not participating, other activities (site landings, animal encounters, etc.) will be available for you to continue your enjoyment of the White Continent.
DAYS 5 - 8 - Head deep into the last frontier
Guided by our experienced crew, you’ll navigate breathtaking ice-choked channels, witness towering glaciers, and encounter extraordinary wildlife in one of the most remote places on Earth. Conduct twice daily landings via Zodiac boats to explore penguin rookeries, research stations, and historical sites. Witness diverse wildlife, including Adélie, gentoo, and chinstrap penguins, as well as seals and whales.
Ply the waters in sea kayaks, test your mettle with a plunge into the frigid Southern Ocean, strap on your snowshoes or gaze at the expanse of stars twinkling above you. Brave the cold as you sleep out under a blanket of stars during a night on the ice to remember. Potential visits include the volcanic caldera of Deception Island, King George Island and lesser visited sites in the Weddell Sea.
With over 500 diverse landing sites along the Antarctic Peninsula, no two voyages are ever the same. Our expert team crafts each expedition based on conditions, weather, and opportunities for the most remarkable encounters. As passenger vessel traffic has increased in recent years, competition for landing sites has intensified, but our deep knowledge of this pristine region ensures you’ll embark on true exploratory journeys, venturing beyond the crowds.
DAYS 9 & 10 - Soak up the relaxing days at sea
Relive your adventures as you cross the Drake Passage, keeping an eye out for seabirds and whales along the way. Take part in final lectures or workshops, and enjoy a celebratory dinner with your fellow travellers as you reflect on the unforgettable journey and the incredible achievements that you have made.
DAY 11 - Disembark with memories to last a lifetime
The saddest day of the trip. Arrive back in Ushuaia in the morning and disembark, marking the return to civilisation and the end of the journey.

Social Development Project
We have partnered with Ushuaia Eco Pledge, a community-led initiative from the southernmost city in the world, created to help travellers reduce single-use plastic while visiting Tierra del Fuego. Founded by longtime local environmental leaders, the project builds on a decade of grassroots work focused on cleaning and protecting the island’s fragile Patagonian and sub-Antarctic ecosystems.
Their mission is to eliminate single-use plastic waste from Tierra del Fuego by 2030 and position the island as a global model for responsible tourism. By donating 5% of tour income, Far Corners directly supports these actions; funding outreach, educational programs, and tools for local businesses. We will also be participating in a beach clean up the day before setting sail.
Refunds & Cancellations
Due to the remote nature of Antarctica and vessel charter commitments, all bookings are subject to strict cancellation terms. A non-refundable deposit of USD $2500 is required to secure your place. Instalments paid between time of booking and 120 days prior to setting sail are refundable, minus the non-refundable deposit.
Any cancellations less than 120 days prior to setting sail will result in no refund.
In the unlikely event FCT must cancel the expedition for operational reasons, you will be offered either a transfer to a future edition of the expedition or a refund minus unrecoverable costs. Changes to itinerary, race route, landings, or schedule due to weather, sea conditions, ice, government regulations, or other factors beyond our control do not qualify for refund.
Comprehensive travel insurance, including medical evacuation and trip cancellation cover that specifically covers Antarctica, is mandatory. For full cancellation terms and detailed refund conditions, please see our full Terms & Conditions here.
