Race Overview

The Cowboy YETI is a 7K, 20K, 40K, 60K, 100K, and 20K Ruck trail run held at the Bastrop State Park in the lush forest of Central Texas. Featuring a scenic dirt single-track course. The race follows a 20K of unique trails beginning and ending in Bastrop TX at the State Park Refinery. This race is a part of the Texas Legends Series.

Texas Legends Series

This race is a part of the Texas Legends Series. The "Legends Series" spans all Central Texas.You can save up to 20% on the 2027 Texas Legend Series by registering for a Series Pass. Register Soon

Each pass includes all 5 legend races that take place in Texas. You can choose your distance range, get the Legendary Pass, which allows you to do the YETI 100K, Goliath's 50 Miler, Chupacabra 50 Miler, the Brazos Legend 50 Miler, and the Desert Wolf 100K all in one pass. Or, if you're looking to increase distance slowly, the Legend Up Pass is perfect to build up to a 50K at Desert Wolf.

Series Passes will be available until January 20th, 2027, lock in yours before. Once you register, we will go on our end and add you to each race in the series pass you selected. It's your responsibility to look at each race including when, where, and what. Learn more

Course Overview

- Surface: Dirt & rocky single track trails.
- Course: All Bastrop State Park Trails Course Map
- Elevation: Hilly showing 800-foot elevation every 20K loop.
- Location: Refectory at Bastrop State Park (100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, TX 78602).
- Weather: Historic Average 50-56 degrees.
- No Cup Race: We don't serve cups, please make sure to bring your own water-carrying system!
- Pacer: Pacers are allowed on the last 2 loops of the 100K, no more than 1 pacer per participant. Signup Here

Location and Times

7K, 20K, 40K & 60K will park at Mayfest Park across the street from Bastrop State Park and will be shuttled to the start line. 100K will park at the Refectory in Bastrop State Park. (100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, TX 78602)

5:05PM - Shuttle Closes & 60K Cutoff (10 Hours)

For more detailed information, including the course map, other race info, and aid stations, please visit the www.TexasOutlawRunning.com or click "Website" above. Pre-race emails are sent out 1-2 days prior to race day.

Runners may receive a full race credit to any race of their choosing with a minimum 14-day notice. Race credits cannot be transferred for notices less than 14 days. We do not offer full refunds. Receive your credit by canceling your registration. To cancel, log into Ultrasignup > Registration History and select “Edit” to cancel your race. Your credit needs to be used within one year. If you need an extended time to use your credit due to medical reasons (including pregnancy) or military deployments, please reach out beforehand.

We proudly offer discounts for all active duty military & first responders. Please email texasoutlawrunning@gmail.com with an ID of your profession to claim your discount.

Please note, Texas Outlaw Running Company does not ship out race apparel or medals if a runner does not show up for the race.
