Welcome to the Ultra Sign Up page for Southern California's toughest 50 kilometer race, Los Pinos!

Los Pinos is a technical and VERY challenging, but beautiful 50k course. Roughly around 9,000 feet of elevation gain & loss. The race is run in the Saddleback Mountains near Orange County, California, and is NOT RECOMMEND as your first Ultra. If you are looking for a FAST 50k, look elsewhere because THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THAT RACE. One volunteer in 2013 described the elite front runners looking as if they were at mile 40 of a 50 miler just 16 miles into the race! Bottom line: this race is tough and TRAINING IS KEY! There are no refunds, so take our advice, as well as the advice of all those who have survived the race.

There are four well stocked aid stations (one that you will hit twice). Our aid stations have always had positive reviews mainly because the majority of the volunteers are experienced ultra runners or other race directors and not your average Joe Schmoes who usually have no idea what to do. This means you will be taken care of by people who will know what you are going through and have experience overcoming low moments en route to a finish.

Great finish line environment with food and friends. Generous cutoffs with a final cut off of 12 hours. Race starts and finishes at Blue Jay campground. Start time is 6 am.

For updates and training runs, join the Facebook page.

Los Pinos is now an official race in the So Cal UltraRunner's Grand Prix Series.
