- 9:00 am Start Time
- 384 and a half trips around the bases.

Minor League Half Marathon:
- 10:30 am Start Time
- 192 and a quarter trips around the bases.

Swag

Registered runners will receive a uni-sex Sandlot Marathon t-shirt. Finishers will receive a unique finisher's award, and race winners will receive a special award.

Course Overview

The course will be well marked, the pitcher’s mound will always be on your left when rounding the bases, and runners are expected to stay within the base paths except when passing, no course cutting.

Aid Station

Aid Station will be available every 360 feet. Hot dog flavored Heed and Heed flavored hot dogs will be provided as well as other standard aid station fare. Aid station will be set up near the on deck circle near the home team’s bench along the first base line

Harold Baines

In a race that consists of 384 loops around the bases, the race directors have decided to pay tribute to the only player in the major leagues to hit 384 home runs (according to baseball-reference.com) – Harold Baines.

Throughout his 22 year career spanning 2,830 games, Baines hit his home runs playing for five different teams – including three separate stints with the Chicago White Sox.

Each year at the Sandlot Marathon, the overall winner will receive a Harold Baines baseball card (Note: Should another player hit 384 home runs in his career, they may be included as a potential award)

Timing

Timing will be different than the 2019 event. Details are still being determined, it may involve manual counting, GPS, etc.
