Sundown Trail Run
Valley Trail Series is back with another radical idea for a trail run- NIGHT RACING! (Yup we are just as hyped as you are right now)
This adventure will be a 4 or 6 mile one loop course. As a night race, you will start right before dusk at 7:30pm and then finish in the dark. Therefore you MUST HAVE A HEADLAMP IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. We will not let you race without one!
Race day registration is available and will be an additional $10. (ie: $55) If you are registering on race day please be sure to come and check in at least 30 minutes before race start
There will be an aid station and a bathroom at the Start/Finish of the course. There will NOT be an aid station on the course, so please be sure to bring your own means of hydration and fuel for on the course if you believe you will need it. (Again you MUST also have a headlamp) And as always on the trail, please pack out any of your trash.

Course Description
Tucked in the woodlands of the Palisades, the Alpine Scout Camp provides miles of diverse and technical trails for novice and veteran runners alike—including some gravel roads, both wide and single-track trails, hills, gravel, mud puddles and more. With varied natural terrain a night race will bring a true sense of adventure and accomplishments for those looking to try something new.
Two important things to note:
1. YOU MUST HAVE A HEADLAMP TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS RACE. We will not let you past the start line without one.
2. THERE WILL BE NO AID STATION ON COURSE. Please be sure to bring your own means of hydration and fuel for on the course if you believe you will need it. And as always on the trail, please pack out any of your trash.
We will have water and fuel at the finish line for you to recover with though!

Valley Trail Series is known for our bare bones approach to trail races, our strong sense of community and for making running fun again by bringing it back to the basics. We host a variety of trail races in Northern New Jersey, for anyone looking to join a community, have fun and embrace nature. We present challenges that are ideal for veterans and rookies alike. 1st Place- 100% discount ($45 discount at next race)
2nd Place- 75% discount ($33.75 discount for next race)
3rd Place- 50% discount ($22.50 discount for next race)
