PINE TO PALM 100
Steeped in grit, grandeur, and the wild beauty of Southern Oregon, the Pine to Palm 100 Mile Endurance Run is a true test of endurance—and a rite of passage for ultrarunners seeking a remote and rugged challenge. This iconic point-to-point race traverses the Siskiyou Mountains, showcasing vast panoramic views, old-growth forests, alpine lakes, and a soul-stirring finish in the trail-running mecca of Ashland, Oregon. With over 20,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, and three climbs topping out at 7,000 feet, Pine to Palm (or P2P100, as it’s known in the ultra community) is a Western States qualifier that delivers both punishment and reward in equal measure.

Course
The journey kicks off at dawn on Rock Creek Road in Williams, Oregon. From there, runners ascend into the heart of the Siskiyou range, winding their way east through dense forest, high-elevation ridgelines, and remote wilderness trails. With fewer than 4 miles of pavement, the course is primarily singletrack and dirt road, designed to immerse runners in nature from the first step to the last.
The first half of the race features sweeping views of Mt. Shasta, challenging climbs, and spirited descents into deep canyons. As runners approach the 65-mile mark at Dutchman Peak—perched near 7,000 feet—they’re greeted with a sunrise that often feels like a second wind. From there, the final push heads toward Grouse Gap and on to the finish at Lithia Park in Ashland, where the cheers, music, and finish line magic await.
Strava data and course maps are available online to help runners prepare for the terrain and elevation profile.
Aid Stations and Support
With 14 aid stations spaced strategically along the course, runners are well-supported throughout their 100-mile odyssey. Eleven of these are fully stocked with electrolyte drinks, water, SUCCEED! S! Caps, GU packets, and the standard array of race foods. Three additional stations offer water only.
Drop bags must be turned in by 7 PM Friday at Pacifica (race check-in site). A finish-line drop bag is also recommended for those shuttling back to Williams. All drop bags will be returned by 4 PM Sunday.
Medical support is robust, with staffed medical checkpoints and a dedicated medical director overseeing safety across the course. All participants must submit a completed medical form before race day.
Runner Experience
From the pre-race pasta dinner under the stars to the roaring finish line in downtown Ashland, Pine to Palm is more than a race—it's a trail running pilgrimage. Whether you're chasing a sub-24-hour buckle or simply seeking to finish, the camaraderie and community vibe are palpable. Crews and pacers play a vital role in this journey, with access allowed at five designated aid stations and pacers joining from mile 65 onward.
Weather in the Siskiyous can be unpredictable. Expect warm daytime highs near 84°F and nighttime lows dipping into the 40s. While downpours are rare, they’ve happened—so plan for both sun and rain.
Camping is free and available at Pacifica, complete with showers and restrooms.
