Parking
Runner Parking:
Parking for runners is scattered throughout four areas in the park. RVs are only permitted in the RV campground. If you do not secure a reservation in the RV campground, please DO NOT plan to bring one to the race.
AREA A:
Day Use Area: Mile .5 on the course. Car access and canopies are allowed. Cars should pull in “nose first” along the tree line and may set up canopies behind the vehicle. Larger “sleep vans” or Sprinter-type vehicles can park here. No open flames permitted.
AREA B:
Primitive Group Camping: Mile 5.5 on the course. Tents/Canopies only (No access to a car). Park in the group camp parking area to unload and set up your site. You may set up tents and/or canopies anywhere in the campground. The course runs directly through it. Once you have unloaded your vehicle, you must move your car out of the campground and over to the designated parking area. Campfires are permitted in the firepits provided.
AREA C:
Grassy Lot across from Mac Lake: Mile 16.4 on the course. Car access/No canopies. This area is a great option for uncrewed runners. The first row of cars will park “nose in” towards the tree line. The 2nd and 3rd rows will park “nose to nose”, and the 4th row will park “nose in” along the tree line. You may set up chairs and a table behind your car and can crew yourself directly out of your car. The course passes directly by this parking lot. No open flames are permitted.
AREA D:
Paved Path at the Start/Finish area. Canopies and crew areas may be set up along the paved path of the course at the Start/Finish line…after the pavilion. You may park in the paved parking lot to unload and set up your crew area. Once you have unloaded, you must move your car across the main road and park in the designated grass parking areas. The race course does NOT go by your car. No open flames are permitted in the parking area or along the path.
