THE BLOOD ROCK 100 & 50 MILE COURSE IS APPROVED
THE BLOOD ROCK RACES WILL ALL USE THE BELCHER TRACT AT OAK MOUNTAIN STATE PARK.
Again in 2025, the Blood Rock 100, The Blood Rock 50, The Blood Rock 50K and the Blood Rock 25K races will use the Belcher Tract. This is the Forever Wild property off the back side of the park. All distances will pass by Summit Lake and Demopolis Lake on the Belcher property. The 100, 50 & 50K will also run by Belcher Lake. "Twice."
THE RACE
The Blood Rock 100 starts at 10:00 AM, Friday, Dec 5th - 44 Hour Cutoff
The Blood Rock 50 Mile starts at 7:00 AM, Saturday, Dec 6th - 22 Hour Cutoff
The Blood Rock 50K starts at 7:00 AM Saturday, Dec 7th - 18 Hour Cutoff
The Blood Rock 25K start at 7:00 AM - Saturday, December 7th - 12 Hour Cutoff.
All Races will start at the Meeting Center located adjacent to the Cabins on Tranquility Lake.
SHIRT CUTOFF - October 20th and November 16th
REGISTER BEFORE OCTOBER 20TH to receive a Custom made, Fully Sublimated, Tech Shirt. They are gender specific, technical shirts, similar to the shirts we gave in 2024. Don't wait and miss these shirts.
YOU MUST REGISTER BY SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH. THE FINAL SHIRT ORDER - We must place our final order for performance blend shirts on November 17th. Please register early to insure getting one of these really cool shirts. You don't want to run Blood Rock and not get a shirt.

REGISTRATION ON ULTRASIGNUP CLOSES MONDAY, DECEMBER 1ST AT MIDNIGHT. THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION AFTER THE 1ST. THERE WILL BE NO BLOOD ROCK REGISTRATION AT THE START SATURDAY MORNING.
WE HAVE RESERVED THE CABINS AT OMSP
NINE CABINS ARE AVAILABLE TO RENT AT THE START.
We have reserved the cabins on Tranquility Lake for the 2025 BLOOD ROCK RACES. These cabins are located at the start location and runners will pass through them at mile 29, 50, 79 & 100. They are rented through Southeastern Trail Runs, not the park.
The cabins are newly renovated with two bedrooms, each with two queen beds, and a large living room. All the cabins are located around Tranquility Lake. We have reserved the cabins for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. They rent for $210 per nigh total. This includes taxes and fees. They can be rented for two nights or three nights.
There is also a large, totally renovated, campground two miles from the start. Campsites can be rented through OMSP.

There are 9 hotels located one to two miles from the south gate of Oak Mountain State Park. This is the gate near Interstate-65. The north gate of OMSP does not open until 7:00AM. It's best to stay near I-65. The gate will be open Saturday Morning starting about 5:00 AM. Hotels near the south entrance of OMSP
The Blood Rock 50 Mile - Saturday Start
Blood Rock 50 Mile is a Southeastern Trail Runs race. The race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park, starting and ending at the Redbud Pavilion adjacent to the BMX Track on Tranquility Rd. The race will be one full lap of the new Blood Rock Course.
Blood Rock 25K and 50K
The Blood Rock 25 & 50K races are Southeastern Trail Series Points races and take place at Oak Mountain State Park. Both races start and end at Redbud pavilion on Tranquility Rd. across from the BMX Track. Both races will start at 7:00 AM Saturday. The 50K will be one full lap of the North Loop, including sections of the new Belcher Track.

Refunds and Credits
We offer full refunds available through Ultrasignup up to 30 days before the close of race registration. You may also roll your entry over until the next year or receive a 100% Credit for future Southeastern Trail Runs races. After that date, when you cancel your registration, you will be given the option to rollover your entry until the next year or receive full credit that can be applied to any STR race in the next year.
In the event the race must be cancelled as the result of events beyond our control, (forest fires or park closure are the most likely potential cause of cancellation of our races at OMSP) we will give a full refund up to 30 days prior to the event. After that, your entry will automatically be rolled over to the next year.
