Choose from 12-kilometer, 25-kilometer, 50-kilometer, 100-kilometer, or 100-mile ultra distances. With routes to Gaviota Peak, panoramic ridgelines, and enchanting canyons, the Island View Endurance Run promises an unforgettable running experience in a truly spectacular setting. Don’t miss this chance to elevate your trail running game!
The out and back style loop covers roughly 33 miles. Starting at Baron Ranch, running up to West Camino Cielo, then crossing the ridge north towards Gaviota Peak, then finally descending down to the Gaviota Hot Springs Trailhead, then you will turn around and return to Baron Ranch.
100 mile- 3 Loops
100km- 2 Loops
50km- 1 Loop
25km- Runs from Baron Ranch Trailhead to West Camino Cielo and back down, gaining roughly 3,300ft of elevation over 16 miles.
12km- Is a lollipop that starts at Baron Ranch trailhead, continues up the loop trail heading east, till you turn left coming back down towards the finish.
The 100 mile event has an elevation profile upward to 25,000ft of gain. Be sure to have the proper amount of training, the cutoffs seem gracious, but with the steepness of the course they can be hard if you are under trained.
The 100km course has over 16,000ft of elevation gain. We offer the option to drop from the 100 mile to the 100km if you will not make the cutoff for the 100mile, but you do not qualify for a podium finish.
The 50km course has over 8,000ft of elevation gain, if you are wanting a solid race and or training run this would be for you, a stout course, but a reward of a long run.
