Race Shirt Cutoff - 9/16
IF YOU WANT A RACE SHIRT YOU "MUST" REGISTER BY SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH.
The shirt order absolutely must go in on the 17th. Please register early to insure getting one of these really cool shirts. Long sleeve Nexus Endurance Tech shirts and Cotton Hoodies will also go off sale on the 16th.

Blood Rock 100 & 50
The Blood Rock 100 and 50 Mile race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park and will start and end at the Cabins on Lake Tranquility located on Cabin Rd. We have reserved all 10 Cabins for the race and they are available to rent Blood Rock weekend. We have a two night minimum, Friday night Sept 28th and Saturday night Sept 29th. Contact Southeastern Trial Runs to reserve a cabin for the weekend. Additional nights may be rented through the park.

Blood Rock 100 Mile
2018 is the second year of the Blood Rock 100 as part of the Mountain High Outfitters Southeastern Trail Series. The race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park, starting and ending at the Cabins on Tranquility Lake. The 100 Mile Race will start at 5:00 AM. (Sunrise on the 29th is 6:40 AM and sunset is 6:36 PM - Runners will need a headlamp or flashlight for the first 1 1/2 hours.) The course will be two 50 Mile Loops, the same course as the 2017 Blood Rock 50 and 100. About 27 miles of the 100 will be on very difficult backcountry trails with some of the steepest climbs in the southeast. Aid stations distances range from 3 to 8 miles apart.
The Cutoff for the 100 Mile Race will be 35 Hours. Starting at Mile 50 we will enforce mandatory cutoffs at all aid stations for runners on the second loop of the race. All Runners may have pacers starting at mile 50.
The Blood Rock 50 Mile
The Blood Rock 50 mile, is part of the final race for the 2018 Mountain High Outfitters Southeastern Trail Series. The race will take place at Oak Mountain State Park, starting and ending at the Cabins on Tranquility Lake. The race will start at 5:00 AM. (Sunrise on the 29th is 6:40 AM and sunset is 4:36 PM - Runners will need a headlamp or flashlight for the first 1 1/2 hours.) The course will be a single 50 Mile Loop. Almost 14 miles of the 50 will be on very difficult backcountry trails with some of the steepest climbs in the southeast. The Cutoff will be 18 Hour. Pacers are NOT allowed in the 50 Mile.
Friday Sept 28th – 3:00 to 6:00 PM - Packet Pickup at the Cabins on Tranquility Lake.
There will be NO Late Registration on Friday or Saturday for Blood Rock 50 or 100. All registration closes Monday Sept. 24th
Friday Sept 28th – 4:30 until! – Pre-race Briefing at the Gazebo by the lake if the weather is nice. If it is cold or rainy, the meeting will be in the Meeting Center to the left as you enter the cabin area. Race Packets will also be available after the meeting. The pre-race meeting is mandatory for 100 Mile Runners. Due to the very difficult terrain, we strongly urge all runners to attend. Drop Bags for 50 and 100 mile runners may be left a the Meeting Center Friday night or Saturday morning before the start.
Saturday Sept 29th – 4:00 to 4:45 AM - Packet Pickup for 100 and 50 mile runners at the Meeting Center at the Cabins.
All 100 and 50 Mile runners MUST check-in Saturday Morning before the start. Failure to do so will result in a DNS
Saturday Sept 29th – 5:00 AM – Start of the 100 Mile and 50 Mile Trail Race.
Mandatory Cutoffs must be strictly enforced. This is a requirement by the OMSP Director.
Sunday, Sept 30th - 4:00 PM - Blood Rock 100 Course Closes.
Refunds and Credits
We offer full refunds available through Ultrasignup up to 30 days before the race. You may also roll your entry over until the next year. After that date we simply cannot give refunds. You may contact us directly and we will be happy to rollover your entry until the next year or give you full credit that can be applied to any STR race in the next year. Please contact us at the latest, two or three days before the race if you will not be able to make the race and would like a credit.

In the event the race must be cancelled as the result of events beyond our control, (forest fires or park closure are the most likely potential cause of cancellation of our races at OMSP) we will give a full refund up to 30 days prior to the event. After that, your entry will automatically be rolled over to the next year.
