We won a few battles this year but we lost the war! We did everything possible to make this race happen in 2021 but we are now at an impass with not be able to obtain our final permit due to the recent increases in Delta variant of Covid 19. I share in your disappointment and ask for your support in giving me time to decompress from the last few weeks of working overtime on not only this race but also Rocky Peak. Once the dust settles, I will turn toward 2022 and make a plan to accommodate those who already registered for 2020 and 2021. Thanks again for your support and patience.

WELCOME TO 2021 CIRQUE DU Griffith Park

We know you have many races to choose from and we thank you for supporting this amazing event in beautiful Griffith Park. Whether you're a "newbie" running your first ultra, a 100-mile hopeful or a competative pro, we promise to give you a safe and professional race experience. Trail Run Events brings you 20-years of awesome races in beautiful places and Cirque is our crowning glory!

This event is not able to guarantee a permit for June due to covid restrictions. We have set the new date for September 4 & 5 which is also Labor Day Weekend and will give you an extra recovery day before returning to work. Your registration is an RSVP and your credit card will not be charged until we secure a permit.


Runners who paid in 2020 will be offered rollover to the 2021 event. You do not need a coupon code; just use the same email you used before and your 100% credit paid will be applied at checkout. FYI, there is an upcharge for 2021 due to increases in permit and monitoring fees.

Waitlisters who registered with your credit card ON HOLD may not go into their event on Ultra Signup and authorize payment.

The race will have a cap on participants and no priority will be given to previously registered runners; you must ACT NOW to guarantee your entry.


Join us at Crystal Springs Picnic Area for 6, 12, 24 hours & 100-miles of running on the dirt equistrian path around the beautiful Harding Golf Course. Located in historic Griffith Park, you can run to your heart's content while the family takes in the sights of Hollywood or just enjoy the many attractions inside the park.

How far can you run, jog or walk in six or twelve hours? You keep going and going and we will calculate your mileage for you. Timed ultra marathon races are super fun because you always have someone to run with and with a flat course and support every 2.43 miles, the miles will add up! In addition to our Saturday events, we present a 100-mile run that is user-friendly for everyone! You know you want that buckle and we will help you get it!

    100-Miler starts at 8:00am

    24 Hour starts at 8:10am

    12 Hour starts at 8:20am

    12 Hour night run starts at 8:00pm

    6-Hour run has a relaxed starting time between 8:30am and 1:00pm

    6-Hour Sunday run starts at 7:00am


  • Pre-registration is online only. We do not accept mail-in registration.
  • Race day registrations are available until 15-minutes before each race start time.
  • Shirts and shirt sizes are not guaranteed for runners who register after May 1.
  • Race management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, for any reason.
  • Runners must be at least 18 y/o to run the race.
  • Online registration will generate an email to you. Please check your SPAM folder if your email does not arrive.

    **Due to the cost of permit fees, we will not be able to issue comp entries for this event.


    The Dawg Squad is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation established according to California laws for public benefit. They provide medical attention, training, rehabilitation, loving foster and permanent homes for at-risk animals who are homeless or have been abandoned and are in need of medical care. The have proudly rescued and placed over 1,800 animals in loving homes!

    1) Please read the entire information provided here for this event to be sure you know what you are signing up for.
    2) We realize that things can come up that keep you from attending the race.
    3) You may receive a 60% refund if you cancel within 45 days of the date of your payment. This refund offer expires 7-days before the event.
    4) There are no refunds after 45-days however 50% your registration fee will be credited toward the following year's registration fee. This credit offer expires 7-days before the event.
    5) No substitutions or bib transfers are permitted.
    6) If the race is postponed or cancelled due to Covid-19 or for any other circumstances out of the race director's control, 75% of your registration fee will be credited toward the following year's registration fee.
    7) If you fail to attend the race and did not arrange for a transfer to the following year, it becomes a DNS. This will be a total forfeit of your entry fee.
    8) There are no exceptions to this policy.
