This event has been postponed from Jun 13, 2020 to Aug 08, 2020
June 15 Update: We are waiting for guidelines from Coconino County on COVID-19 recommendations on whether we can hold this event safely.
Due to the uncertainty with COVID-19 we have made registration for this event a waitlist only until we are certain the event can take place. If the race goes on as planned, you will receive an email from Ultrasignup asking you to accept the invitation to register for this race. No money will be collected until you accept this registration. Please continue to check back for updates!
Welcome to the 6th annual Big Pine Trail Runs at Fort Tuthill County Park! Runners will get to experience both the Soldiers Trail and Highlands Trail Loop (6 Km runners will only run on a partial Soldiers Trail loop) which winds through the ponderosa pines above 7,000 ft, eventually topping out on a mesa with expansive views of mountain landscapes before being enveloped back into the trees. The trail ranges from narrow single track to wide well-maintained forest paths. The course is well graded for beginners while allowing the more experienced runner to stretch their legs and gun for a fast time while still maintaining the challenge of being at a higher elevation. With the exception of the new 52 Km course, the other distance courses are designed as a loop race with the 27 Km doing two full circuits (27 Km = 2 loops / 13 Km = 1 loop).
52Km Course: Coming in 2020, we’ve got a brand new course for the ultra distance that includes single track trails leading to Rodgers Lake and back. Runners will make one 25 ish mile loop and then head out for one final 6 mile loop rather than running four consecutive 13K loops
