YES WE ARE BACK FOR 2022
Finally can get permits. We are happy to be back.
49 YEARS of HISTORY and TRADITION
April 24, 2022 will be the 47th running and our 49th year. Let the tradition continue. The Jack Bristol Lake Waramaug Ultra Races are the oldest ultras in Connecticut and many other places. It is the oldest 100K in the United States. Come join us for the fun and celebration of another banner year.
........................................ 2022 USATF SANCTIONED. CERTIFCATION PENDING ...................................
There will be four well stocked aid stations around the Lake and there will be post race food and drinks for all runners.
From Start/Finish to First Station 1.8 miles to Second 1.9 miles to Third 1.7miles then 2.2 miles to the Start Finish.
The course is rolling loops but primarily flat on paved roads around scenic Lake Waramaug. Most people do PR's on this course. There is a 2.2 mile out and back at the beginning of the race for all runners. The 50K runners will then do three 7.6 mile laps around the lake followed by a 1.9 mile out and back to the finish at the State Park. The 50 mile runners will complete six laps around the lake and finish at the State Park. The 100K runners will do seven laps around the lake followed by a 2.3 mile out and back to finish at the State Park.
The 50K has 12 hours and the 50M and 100K have 13 hours time limits. However, depending on the time you are to start the last loop and we consider all factors, the utmost being your safety and realistic probable finish time. Regardless, that decision is the sole discretion of the RD or race officials. We try to have everyone finish.
In addition to all manner of fun running around the lake all day (and night) with many new and old friends, your entry covers a hi-tech t-shirt, a medal for the 50K and 50 M races finishers, a buckle for the 100K finishers as well as post race food. We also provide weather with no additional charge.
