Includes race entry to a fantastic race course with unbelievable views, finishers schwag, overall awards, a post race feast and celebration!
The race will start and finish in the field next to "Stonybrook" (a home with a lot of history) located at the end of Scott Road in Tamworth, NH. The owners are kind enough to allow us to rent their field for the weekend so you can have a great event on and off the race course! PLEASE RESPECT THEIR HOME AND THE FIELD!!!
We will have porto potties for you to use and ask that you do not use their woods or field as a toilet. Please do not litter or ruin their property. The future of this event depends on everyone being respectful. If you love the area and want to rent the home the owners can be found on AirBNB! It is a beautiful place with trails right off the property!
The race starts at 8am so make sure you are there early enough to pick up your BIB numbers and go to the bathroom Registration is 4-6pm Friday night and from 5am-7:15am race morning. The location is Scott Road in Tamworth, NH.
Tin Can will be feeding you all and included in your entry is one item from them. We will have soda and possibly beer at the finish line as well. You can purchase more food from them if you are still hungry! They have incredible food and we are sure you will love it!
Cullenberg Physical Therapy will be at the finish line providing services to the runners. They are awesome people and make sure you go over and meet them!!
We suggest taking a photo of a map or bringing a map with you. Please put the track log into your watch or phone. If there is an emergency on the course please call the emergency number given to you in your race packet. If you drop or don’t start the race please let us know so we are not out looking for you all night.
Do not litter, do not poop everywhere! Please be respectful of the field we are renting for the race and use the porto potties and not the woods. The future of the race depends on us being respectful! Please do not litter on the course or poop on the course, you will be disqualified. We have a zero tolerance for littering or being mean to other trail users. If a hiker gets mad at you please take the ostrich approach and let them reach out to us to complain. We need to take the high road and show people that trail runners are good people!
The aid station will be set up where you have to have the volunteers helping you get food and water. Please fill up with water here as the trip up and over the summit can take several hours and every year people don’t fill up at the aid station and end up in the medical tent at the finish line. Be nice to the volunteers as they are sacrificing their day to make your day nice!
Jeff Sinon will be back taking pictures of you all so make sure your hair and makeup are perfect and work on that race day smile! You will all get free images!
Please be careful if the ledges are wet. They can be very slick and nobody wants to land on the impaler coming down the Liberty trail. You need to check in with the summit marshal for tracking reasons so we don’t lose you out there on the course!
There is no camping at the start/finish so please make other arrangements. We are looking forward to seeing you all and hope you have a great race! We always need volunteers and they can sign up Ultrasignup to volunteer!
We are sorry but we cannot provide transfers, deferrals or add people once registration is closed. There are no refunds given or deferrals given at any time for any reason so please be mindful of the rules when registering.
Mountain weather is subject to extreme changes and a large portion of the course over the mountain is fully exposed to the elements. Be responsible!
Local time: 2:36 AM
All runners must have the ability to carry 1 liter of fluids. They must also carry a windbreaker/rain shell and a small foil emergency blanket. Proper trail running shoes are highly recommended! If race day is wet. The mountain rocks will be very slick!
WE WILL BE DISQUALIFYING ANYONE CAUGHT NOT CARRYING ANYTHING WITH THEM DURING THE RACE. THIS GEAR IS MANDATED THROUGH OUR PERMIT AND WE HAD SOME PEOPLE LAST YEAR WHO DID NOT CARRY ANYTHING WITH THEM. THIS NOT ONLY VIOLATES OUR AGREEMENT WITH THE USFS BUT IT ALSO GIVES RUNNERS AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER OTHER RUNNERS WHO DO CARRY THEIR GEAR. WE UNDERSTAND THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CAN RUN THE WHOLE RACE WITHOUT FOOD OR WATER BUT WE CAN NOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS ON RACE DAY, EVEN FOR ELITE RUNNERS.
