Information and Parking
All distances start and finish at the Cool Fired Department parking lot at 7:00am.
Race day bib pick-up is 6:00am-6:50am at start area.
Parking is NOT included in your race registration. Parking is $10 to enter the Auburn State Recreation Area. Please bring exact cash and pay at the parking lot entrance or use your Poppy Pass to bypass parking fees.
Course
All distances start and finish at the Cool FD parking lot. We all follow the same course for the first 4.2 miles until we get to the Brown's Bar aid station (on Quarry Trail).
The 15K course then goes up Brown's Bar for about a mile until you get to the infamous Goat Hill climb. At that point, all distances re-join each other and follow the markers up Goat Hil then to the finish line.
After the Brown's Bar aid station, the 35k runners continue on Quarry trail, then American Canyon trail, Dead Truck trail. At the top of the Dead Truck climb, 35k'ers turn RIGHT at the "T" towards the ALT A/S, then on to Goat Hill and then to finish.
The 50K follows the 35k course until the top of the Dead Truck trail climb. At that point, the 50k turns LEFT at the "T" and heads East to the Green Gate A/S. From there, they do a 7 mile Out and Back and return to the Green Gate A/S. From there, 50k'ers retrace their steps to the top of the Dead Truck climb. That's where they re-join routes with the 35k runners all the way to the finish line.
