Race Description
The 2026 Red Mountain 50k, 30k, and Dirty Hurty Half courses incorporate the scenic dirt trails of the Santa Clara Reserve located in the west central portion of Washington County, directly southwest of the communities of Ivins and Santa Clara and east of the Shivwits Indian Reservation. The race course starts on Gates Lane Bridge across from the historic Jacob Hamblin home and quickly turns onto a BLM service road and climbs up to the single track tails in the Santa Clara Reserve. The course winds in clover fashion back into the Cove Wash Trailhead Aid Station 4 times before heading to the finish at Unity Park, Ivins, UT.
Course Map
50K
The 50K course covers just over 30 miles with more than 4,000 feet of elevation gain and is completed in a series of loops that showcase the area’s varied terrain. Runners will travel along a mix of scenic singletrack and dirt roads, with rolling sections early in the race before building to the largest climb of the day in the middle portion of the course. The final section winds through desert trails before transitioning onto nearby city roads for the finish. One unmanned aid station is located approximately halfway through the final portion of the course.
30K
The 30K course covers just over 20 miles and is completed in a series of loops featuring a mix of scenic singletrack and dirt roads. Runners will experience rolling terrain and steady climbing throughout the course. The final section transitions onto nearby city roads before finishing at the finish line.
Half Marathon
The Half Marathon course covers about 14 miles and is completed in two loops. Runners will travel along a mix of scenic singletrack and dirt roads, with rolling terrain and steady climbing throughout. The final section transitions onto nearby city roads before finishing at the finish line.

Race Start Times
The 50k, 30k & Dirty Hurty Half Marathon Races all start at 6:30 am.
Policies
Distance changes- You have until the Wednesday before the event to change your distance.
Bib transfers- You can transfer your bib to someone else during early and regular registration. Transfers cannot be made during late registration.
*Please note that refunds are not available. It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance in the event that you are unable to attend the race.
