NEW DISTANCES & COURSES
10K: The 10K will remain the same exact loop as before.
25K: The 25K will use the previous Half Marathon loop, but we will extend the bottom portion of the course to make it longer. The new 25K will be approximately 16 miles with 2,700 feet of elevation gain.
50K: The 50k will have approximately 5,500ft of elevation gain and the same of elevation loss. The 50K will begin by running the new 25K course. Runners will then complete a 3x loop from the start/finish area using what was previously the back half of the 25K course.
This setup will make the 50K very crew- and drop-bag-friendly since runners will return to the start/finish area multiple times.
CUTOFF TIMES
10k cutoff time is 4.5 hours.
25k cutoff time is 5.5 hours.
The 50K will have an 11-hour total cutoff. To continue onto your final loop, you must leave the start/finish area by 8 hours and 45 minutes into the race.

DROP BAGS & PACERS
*Only 50k runners are allowed drop bags. These will be brought to the start of the race and will be put outside (no covering from the elements)- 50k runners will hit this area with the drop bags at mile 16.5, 23 & the finish.
*10k & 25k- No drop bags
***NO PACERS-for any distance.
AID STATIONS
10K: No aid station.
25K: One full aid station.
50K: One water drop and three full aid station stops. You will also have access to your drop bag at the start/finish three times during the 50K.

You are responsible for following course markings. Be alert and aware of passing cars at road crossings.

About the Helen Holiday Trail Race
This is meant to be a fun and scenic trail race. While this is not flat the views are worth it. A great into to Run Bum Races / Trail running. You will hike in spots but it’s fun, safe and beautiful! Normally this race is 50% + female.
This race is all about the holidays and having a good time!
All runners who finish within the cutoff time get a medal.
YOU MUST REGISTER BY NOVEMBER 1ST TO BE GUARANTEED A MEDAL.
This is not a road race. There are no mile markers or age group awards. This is NOT a flat race.

Refunds/Deferments
Refund & Deferral Policy
EFFECTIVE 8/25/2026-Run Bum Races does not offer refunds, transfers, race credits, or deferrals, except for the limited circumstances outlined in our full Refund & Deferral Policy.
If you would like refund protection, SPOT Refund Protection must be purchased through UltraSignup at the time of checkout.
**SPOT cannot be added after registration/checkout is complete. SPOT is a third-party service offered through UltraSignup and is not administered or controlled by Run Bum Races.
**Any questions regarding SPOT coverage, eligibility, claims, or refunds must be directed to UltraSignup/SPOT.
Outside of our limited exceptions for pregnancy, military obligations, or the death of an immediate family member, the only option for a Run Bum race deferral/credit is to volunteer an event for a minimum of 8 hours for a 50k or longer distance & a minimum of 6 hours for distances less than 50k.
Participants who registered prior to 8/25/2026 remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of their registration.
