Pi in the Sky

Description
This is a FAT ASS style event with NO entry fee, some course markings and no aid. The course will be partially marked at critical junctions, but participants will have Garmin coordinates available. The trails are generally well marked, but can get a bit confusing at times with all the various spider trails. Runners will self-time their run. Start time will be 6:00 a.m.

The group will meet up at the Hope Bible Church parking lot, but the course starts at the footbridge that crosses the 51 Freeway and finishes back at the church. You will start by crossing the 51 Freeway on to Dreamy Draw Bikeway, then through the Phoenix Mountain Preserves traversing Piestewa Peak summit. Total of 8 miles on this out and back course.

This run is limited to 60 runners. There is ZERO fee for this event.

Course Summary
The trails are rocky and often run-on extremely technical terrain. There is very minimal shade and most of the time you will be exposed, so be prepared for warm weather, which in the beginning month of June plan on it to be hot.

Aid
There will be no aid, but will have water fountain and restroom along the course located at Dreamy Draw Trailhead. YOU are responsible for your own well-being.

Results
Each runner will keep track of his/her time. Please submit your final Strava elapsed time to me.
