Javelina Jundred 2025: Camping, Crew Tent, and RV Updates
As we look forward to Javelina Jundred 2025, we’re introducing a few updates to our camping, crew tent, and RV reservation processes to make planning easier, ensure fairness, and create the best experience for all participants and their supporters.
Crew Canopies: **Crew Space Reservations for the 2025 event are now sold out.** To help manage the growing demand, crew canopy reservations will include a $100 fee and must be secured during race registration. This ensures fair access for everyone and encourages the communal spirit of Javelina Jundred by promoting shared spaces. All runners will be limited to one crew space per reservation but we recommend up to four runners per 10x10 canopy to create the ultimate community experience; check with your friends before reserving! For large groups or run clubs with 10 or more registered runners, please reach out to us directly to arrange a group reservation.
Camping & RV Spaces: **All Long and Short RV reservations for the 2025 event are now sold out.** All camping and RV reservations will open alongside race registration at the start of the year. This streamlined approach makes it easy to plan ahead and secure accommodations early. RV camping will include:
Long RVs: For vehicles over 24 feet in length.*Sold Out
Short RVs: Includes trailers, teardrop campers, Sprinter Vans, and similar vehicles under 24 feet.*Sold Out
Car Camping: Car camping will be hosted in the Competitive Lot and permits participants to camp in their vehicles starting Friday. Suitable setups include Sprinter Vans, rooftop tents, SUVs with sleeping platforms, camper shells, and compact vans. All camping must remain contained within the vehicle, and ground tents or external setups outside the vehicle are not permitted. Car camping spaces will not allow vehicles to move in or out during race day to ensure safety and comfort. Please note that car camping passes should not be purchased for general parking needs.
Golden Ticket Race
We are excited to announce that Javelina Jundred is a 2024 Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run Qualifier and Golden Ticket Race! The top two (2) female and top two (2) male finishers in each individual race will automatically qualify for entry into the 2024 Western States 100 event. In the case that the first, or second place participant is already in Western States (or decides to opt out), the automatic bid will slide to third place, fourth place, and subsequently down to fifth place as needed (no places below fifth will be accepted). Runners will receive their invitation via email and have two weeks from the qualifying race to complete the registration, including paying the entry fee. There are no deferments or transfers. Elite runners looking to compete in the 100 Mile Golden Ticket race, please email RD jubilee@aravaiparunning.com for consideration.
Jackass Night Trail
Experience a wild event within the event: Jackass Night Trail! A unique night race with TWO WAVES that grants participants a ticket to the party at Jackass Junction! Put your party pants or take them off to experience the course for one loop this Jalloween! Invite your friends, crew, family and every runner you know to the Disco the Desert October 25th!
Course
The course is a five loop format with the start/finish area staged out of the Four Peaks Staging Area (Javelina Jeadquarters). Loop one will be 22.3 miles and include the Shallmo, Pemberton, and Escondido Trails. Loops 2-5 will be identical at 19.4 miles including parts of the Cinch, Scenic, Pemberton, and Shallmo Trails. Trails feature rolling single track through the Sonoran Desert. Run past giant Saguaro Cactus, granite boulders, and dry wash-beds as you tour the most popular trail of McDowell Mountain Regional Park. 100-kilometer runners will complete the first three full loops of the 100 Mile course.
Loops are run one way.
Each loop features a gentle 600-foot climb from the start/finish at Javelina Jeadquarters to the high point near the foothills of the McDowell Mountain range. The trail dips in and out of wash beds on the far side of the course before descending back to the start-finish. The trail is a mix of hard-packed granite, rocks, and sand.
