Tour De Wolf Trails

The Caspian 5 and 10 miler will be held on the Tour De Wolf Trails. The race will start from the Tour de Wolf Pavilion and will be a 5-mile loop. It is mostly single-track dirt trails, with roots and some elevation gain. The course will travel through open grassy fields, a gravel road, and dirt trails.

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup is Friday, July 12th from 4-6pm at the Tour de Wolf Pavilion. This is where the start/finish line will be. The Tour de Wolf Pavilion is inside Shelby Farms Park by the Playground. There is plenty of parking in this area. You can also pick up your packet on race morning, but try to get it by 6:30am so we can start the race on time.

Race Information

You are welcome to bring a bag of your own drinks and food and leave it at the Tour de Wolf Pavilion. You will start and finish the race here. We will have porta pottys at the start line and there is a bathroom not far away with running water, etc.

This is a cupless race. Please bring your own cup, flask, or water bottle for the race.

The 5 mile route will have 2 water stations. Mile 1.5 and Mile 3.5
The 10 mile route will have water at 1.5, 3.5, 5, 6.5, and 8.5 miles. The 10 mile loop is 2 loops at 5 miles.
There will be no food at the water stations, only the finish line.
Road shoes are fine if the trails are dry. And Trail shoes are ok too.
The race is chip timed so please wear your bib on the front so we can see your bib number
This is a cupless race so please bring a flask or vest to carry water.

RV Campground

The Caspian 5 & 10 miler has plenty of RV camping at the RV Park at Agricenter International. The RV Park offers sites with sewer, 30-amp & 50-amp electrical hook-ups, water, dump station, restrooms, shower, and laundry facilities. The RV Park at Agricenter is the perfect location if you plan on bringing or renting an RV for the race weekend. The RV Park at Agricenter is NOT within walking distance to the start line. It is a few miles away. The start line for the race is inside Shelby Farms Park.

Refunds

There are no refunds in each race or series of the Cobra Den Trail Races. Money has already been spent reserving the park trails, parking, porta pottys, food, etc.

There are no roll-over credits to another race.

Post Race

Please stick around after the race for the Top 3 Male and Female Award winners. We will also have snacks, drinks, cooling towels, good music, etc.

We will give out the $125 cash drawing prize before the race.

Weather

The race will be held in the summer months and Memphis is very hot and humid. Each race will start at 7am. Caution is required when running these races. Memphis also experiences summertime storms and these can be short-lived or very damaging. The RD has the right to postpone or cancel the race due to weather. We will do everything we can to get the race in at 7 am but safety of runners are our #1 priority.

Restaurants - There are many restaurants packed up and down Germantown Parkway

Breakaway Running Store - located on Germantown Parkway is very close to the trails.

Things to do: Visit Shelby Farms Park. The trails that the Mamba race and Cobra Den Trail Series are ran on are part of Shelby Farms Park. The park is huge covering 4,500 acres and is one of the largest urban parks in the country. There are over 40 miles of trails both paved and unpaved and over 20 lakes. The park is also home to a herd of buffalo that you can see while walking the trails. www.shelbyfarmspark.org is the website so check out all there is to do here.

The trails are open to the public during the day so not only will you see runners but you'll see people walking the trails or riding their bike.

Bathrooms: There will be port-a-pottys located at the Start/Finish line of the race
