Welcome back to the 13th edition of the Lumberjack Endurance Runs! The course will be a little different from last year with the addition of Secret Squirrel and a couple other trails. I will update the course as soon as it is finalized. We are looking forward to another great year in the Port Gamble forest and can't wait to see everyone this year!
The race is located in beautiful Port Gamble, Wa. Start/finish is at the Uplands, 1/4 mile south of town on state route 104. Plenty of parking and car/tent camping will be available and room for RV"s. No running water at start/finish but there is a store in town.
3 fully stocked aid stations on the course. There will be hot food throughout the night at all of the stations. Hammer Heed drink and gels will be available along with lots of great ultra food!
Pacing is allowed after 50 miles (loop 4) for the 100 mile distance. There also will be a location for drop bags for everyone.
The course is eight 12.5 mile loops with 3 aid stations per loop (start/finish included). It is a mixture of single track and dirt roads (about 75% / 25%). There are no large climbs, but definitely lots of ups and downs. There is approximately 1500 ft per loop for a total elevation gain of 12,000 feet. marked with reflective tape and reflective arrows.
There is plenty of room at the Uplands for car camping, camping, and RV's. No running water at the start/finish but the town is 1/4 mile away. There are 2 guesthouses in Port Gamble and 3 hotels in Poulsbo (10-15 minutes from start/finish).
