This is something different! Not an out and back and not a single loop. You will run four trails, all different distances. You MUST, run all four trails. You MUST check in at the check points on each trail. You MUST do them in ANY ORDER you want. You MUST come back to the start/finish after each loop to check in. You will never know if you are first or DFL. 15k runners, skip to 15k instructions.

Symptoms of delirium: Confusion, Restlessness, Rapid heart rate, Disorientation, Fatigue and Excessive sweating.

Coldwater is a technical, single-track trail that is covered in rocks and roots with varying climbs and fast down hills. The course will be clearly marked, pay attention. Loop 1 (Bomb Dog) will be marked with red ribbon and flags. Loop 2 (Baby Bear) will be marked with blue ribbon and flags. Loop 3 (Mama Bear) will be marked with pink ribbon and flags. Loop 4 (Papa Bear) will be marked with yellow ribbon and flags. There will be signs indicating the start of each loop and any turns.

Elevation:2000 ft

Loop Distances:
Loop1: 9.67 miles
Loop 2: 1.36 miles
Loop 3: 3.68 miles
Loop 4: 5.24 miles

You have to be held accountable, right? Pay attention, halfway through each loop, you will find a sign with a bucket full of wrist bands. You must stop and grab a wrist band. You must have four different colored wrist bands in order to declare you are finished.

Cutoff: You must complete all four loops in 7 hours

15k

You will run only Loop 1 (Bomb Dog). The loop will be marked with red ribbon and flags. New for 2025, stop and grab a wrist band. Just run!

Elevation: 1180 ft
Loop Distance: 9.67 miles

Cutoff: 4 hours

Aid Stations

There will be two fully stocked aid station. One at the start/finish, which you will hit after each loop and the other about 5.5-6.5 miles in on Loop 1 (Bomb Dog) It is going to be hot, so it is mandatory that you carry either a handheld or wear a vest. The aid station on Loop 1 will be determined by the rain this year and how bad the access road is to the 5.5 mile spot. If it's bad, you may have to run a little longer to get to the aid station like 2024.

Perks, Awards and Finish

PERKS: We will have iced cold towels and popsicles for you when you need them. SHIRTS: Each runner who meets the shirt deadline will receive an awesome soft t-shirt. Register before May 20th to guarantee you get a t-shirt.

AWARDS: Each finisher will receive a very cool, one of a kind hand-painted river rock. Overall Awards will be given out for the top three female finishers and top three male finishers for both distances.

FINISH: Finish line will have music, food and beverages. Come hang out and enjoy the party afterwards. You deserve it.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will only be on race morning from 5:30 to 6:45am.

Refunds, Deferrals and Transfers

I totally get that things happen from injuries, illness and work related reasons. BUT from the time registration opens, money is spent on permits, insurance, etc. So, no refunds, deferrals or transferred are allowed.

Other

On a side note: This is also a mountain bike trail and they are unable to close the trail completely. Even though I will have signs posted, bikes MAY be on the trail. Watch out for them and please be courteous.
