Trail runners usually carry a bottle to keep hydrated between aid stations. Gatorade and water will be available at all the aid stations. There will be the usual snacks and carbs to keep you fueled at the race (bring your own gels, if you rely on them).
The 13.1 course will be 90% plus single track trail at the Wissahickon. The exact layout is not finalized yet, but the course will not be flat and fast. Many rolling hills and some technical sections with rocks and roots. Need to be a bit gritty to get this done :-).
The 26.2 course will utilize most of the 13.1 course, but also sections of the forbidden drive, but the majority of the course will be single track trail.
Post Race Party:
We will celebrate all things Philly. We will feature multiple Philadelphia style foods, and also will partner with a Philadelphia craft brewery. Hang out and listen to some awesome live music.
