Due to the uncertainties of our current situation, we have shifted our races to a waitlist registration. This means that you can confidently sign up for our races but not have to worry about whether or not it will happen, be cancelled, or moved. With a waitlist registration, you can register for the race but you will not be charged for it immediately. Sometime before the race date, when we know we'll be able to move forward with it, you will get an e-mail confirmation from us giving you the option to confirm your entry. Your card will then be charged and we'll see you on race day.
Hopefully, this helps give you more confidence as you look to sign up for our races this season!
The High Bridge Ultra is a simple and beautiful 50K. The course runs on the High Bridge Trail which is an old railroad bed turned gravel trail. This course is great for those looking to get into the ultramarathon scene to see what the 50k distance can feel like, without having to worry about too technical of a trail. It is also great for the experienced ultramarathoner who wants to stretch their legs and see just how fast they can run a 50k. Course record is 3:36:22.
30k runners will start in Farmville and finish in Pamplin with the 50k.
Runners will park at the old Depot in Pamplin, VA and be bused to the start of their race. From there runners will race back to the Pamplin end and the Finish! Fast course with fast runners! Runners must reach Aid Station 4 (~19 miles) by 6 hours.
The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
Any runner registering after September 25th, 2020 will not be guaranteed an event shirt. There may be extras, but due to the need to order supplies well in advance, no guarantees can be made.
There are no refunds, but you may defer your entry to the following year. This must be done by October 2nd 2020.
HBU is cupless
In an effort to be more sustainable and friendly towards the environment, the High Bridge Ultra and 30k are both cupless races. All runners will need to carry their own reusable cup throughout the race to use at aid stations. If you do not have one, you have the option to purchase one of our TrailAdventure cups (a Hydrapak SpeedCup) when registering and it will be waiting for you at packet pick-up.
