OM 100K
There is nothing quite like the OM 100K anywhere! This is a continuous course(not an out & back course or loops) with ten aid stations and few repeat sections. The course will challenge you with over 14,200' of elevation gain on~80% single-track trail. This is a challenging and BEAUTIFUL100K!
You will run alongside Gold Creek, the Dungeness River, the Royal Creek and right up to the Buckhorn Wilderness boundary in two different locations including via. Dirty Face Ridge where you will take in breath-taking views of the Olympic Range from your course high-point of 5,820'! The 100K will cover all of the same trails as the 50K course, just not in the same order
tab=t.0
OM 50K & 50K Ruck
This is a graduate level 50K and one of the very toughest Ruck courses to be found anywhere!
New for 2026- ALL 50K racers, Runners AND Ruck'ers will have a 14 hour cut-off. We want you to finish!!!
You start at Race HQ at 2,600’ above sea level deep in the Olympic National Forest, then grind your way towards two of the most popular summits on the Olympic Peninsula-Mount Townsend and Mount Zion! The high point of the course, at the Buckhorn Wilderness boundary (just short of the Mt Townsend summit) , offers huge views across the eastern slope of the Olympic range. This single loop course boasts 8,600' of climbing and 74% single-track running.
OM 25K & 25K Ruck
Don't let the distance fool you! This single loop course features almost 4,000' of elevation gain(and loss), including one of the toughest climbs of any 25K - a 2,250' grind to the summit of Mt Zion over 3.7 miles. Bring your climbing legs AND your running legs as the forest road sections will test your leg speed.
New this year, the 25K Ruck Division.
Entrants must wear a pack or weight vest of 20-30lbs, not including food & water.
Ruckers receive a 25K finisher prize AND a special OM25K Ruck patch
25K Racers have 6 hours to finish-Rucker have 7 hours to finish.
Not sure you're ready for a 50K? This is a great course to test your ability to step up to run the 50K next year!
NEW! 10K
The course is just over 10K at 6.56 miles (a 10K is technically 6.2 miles)
The course is 52% single-track and 48% Fire road
The is one aid station at mile 4.96
There is 1,117' of climbing
HERE! is a link to the course.
There is essentially just one big climb with a couple "speed bumps" here and there.
The 10K is, essentially, the first 5 miles and the last 1.5 miles of our 25K course.

We do not provide refunds, but we will happily provide one-time credits towards next year’s races based on the following schedule:
• Withdraw by March 20, 2026-90% Credit towards 2027 races
• Withdraw by May 8th, 2026- 75% Credit towards 2027 races
• Withdraw by July 17th, 2026- 50% Credit towards 2027 races
No credit provided after July 17th, 2025 UNLESS race distance is sold out AND cancelled slot can be refilled from the waitlist. In this instance, the 50% credit towards 2027 will be honored.
Registered runners may drop down in distance anytime up until August 13th on UltraSignUp by “editing” their entry (subject to space). No refunds are given for switching to a lower cost race.
Why? Our operational costs are subject to projected attendance established well in advance of race day. The closer to race day, the more financial commitments we have made on behalf of registered runners. This accounts for the staggered credit period.
Between 10% and 20% off all entered runners will not be able to attend and the reasons are wide and varied. This means that trail runners will likely miss between 10-20% of all races they sign up for. Please accept this when you sign up. Anything from injuries, surgeries, illness, travel changes, bad rental car selection, don’t like the weather, didn’t train enough, etc. may account for race withdrawal. As a race director, we are pleased to provide one of the more generous credit programs out there. Please understand the policy when you register as the policy applies to everyone. We are unable to evaluate that someone’s reason for withdrawing is better than someone else’s. If our policy creates an actual financial hardship for you when you withdraw, please reach out.
Credits are not rollovers. You will be provided with a code to use and must register the following year. Credits will be on the cost of the entry fee, UltraSignUp fees do not apply to the credit.
Exceptions:
Pregnancy deferral- Any registrant who becomes pregnant prior to race day can request a one time deferral of the entry fee to the 2027 race. Please email the RD at MountainRunCompany@Gmail.com
Any active duty military member who must withdraw due to deployment may request a rollover OR a refund (refunds will be minus UltraSignUp fees). This is our one exception to the No Refund policy. Thank you for serving our Country.
We offer a military discount for both active duty and military veterans of 15% off any trail race distance OR 25% off any Ruck distance race. Discount applies to current pricing. Please email us for a code at MountainRunCompany@Gmail.com

Getting Here
Please read about directions in the Race Manual.
Race HQ is in a retired quarry deep in the Olympic National Forest with the closest town being the small village of Quilcene. Plan your trip in advance! It takes a beat to get here if you don't live close, so give yourself some extra time (35-40 minutes depending on your driving style/vehicle) . We recommend taking the free camping option. It's more fun anyway!
The drive is 12 miles after turning off Rt 101(give yourself 35-40 minutes for this drive-while AWD/4WD is not required, but do not recommend low clearance vehicles due to potholes. Most of the road is "good for forest roads", but there are more potholes this year than in the past. Plan your drive time accordingly so you arrive in plenty of time.
Note: You will lose cell signal shortly after leaving 101, so print/screenshot these directions and take them with you to help ensure you arrive (and return) smoothly. While the drive is relatively straight-forward, Forest Service roads are traditionally not well marked and can cause confusion. The race organization will have some markers on the road to help guide cars to Race HQ but do not rely on these
Note: Navigation apps ARE NOT reliable for getting here. You will also loose cell signal soon after leaving Rt 101 so save or print out the Turn by Turn directions(below) and plan to follow those, not your GPS.
Directions to Race HQ - Turn-by-Turn directions
From Rt 101, locate Lords Lake Road which is about 2 miles north of the village of Quilcene. Head west on Lords Lake Loop Road for approximately 3.4 miles(There is only way you can turn onto it)
Arriving at Lords Lake (pavement ends), bear LEFT onto Little Quilcene Road (FS Road 28). Go straight for approximately 4.2 miles
You’ll come to an intersection — turn RIGHT to continue on FS Road 28. This road is also called Gold Creek Road. Go straight for 1.3 miles
You’ll come to a fork in the road. Take a SLIGHT RIGHT ont/o FS Road 2810. Go straight for 3.2 miles
Turn LEFT on FS Road 2810-070*. The parking area will be 0.4 miles down this road. *Google Maps does not show this road, but we can assure you it exists!
The Race Director will hang signs for drivers-please note that these will be ORANGE, a different color than the PINK pre-hung course markings for Runners which will intersect your drive in a few locations. That said, please print or save the Turn by Turn directions on your device and do not rely on our signs to get you there. Last year some signs were tampered with which created some confusion for drivers.
We are providing coordinates for the race HQ, but Do Not Use these to navigate to the race-Please use the Turn by Turn instructions above (47.92382, -123.03803)
Ferry Service
There are few things more lovely than taking the ferry! For runners who choose to cross the Sound by boat, be sure to factor ferry departure times into your trip. Wait times which tend to be longer on the weekend, especially during the summer months. Plan lots of extra time as you may need to wait in line for a boat-two hours or more during high peak. Something to think about.... Also, check daily schedules and alerts for additional boat delays. For more information on travel by ferry, visit WSDOT at this link, https://wsdot.wa.gov/travel/washington-state-ferries/schedules
