The Kauai 50 Ultra Race is giving away a Free 2024 Subaru Crosstrek to the Overall First Place Runner that is able to finish the 2024 Kauai 50 Mile Race in under 5:30:00 (Five Hours and Thirty Minutes and Zero Seconds).
GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If the Overall First Place Runner finishes the race in 5:30:00 (Five Hours and Thirty Minutes and Zero Seconds) or more time, this giveaway is VOID. This giveaway is VOID if the winner does not pass the performance enhancing drug test following the 2024 Kauai 50 Mile Race. This giveaway is VOID if the 2024 Kauai 50 Mile Race is cancelled for any reason. The winner of this giveaway is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, title, registration, vehicle insurance and all other costs associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. If the winner of this giveaway resides in a country outside of the USA, the winner is responsible for all costs associated with shipping the Grand Prize. The winner of this Giveaway may opt to receive a cash prize of $15,000.00 ( Fifteen Thousand and Zero Dollars) instead of the Grand Prize (Subaru Crosstrek). As stated by Subaru in PRNEWSWIRE.COM, the MSRP Value of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is $24,995.00 ( Twenty Four Thousand and Nine Hundred and Ninety Five Dollars). This Giveaway begins on Thursday, September 21st of 2023 and will run until Sunday, August 4th of 2024. Drug Policy
The Kauai 50 Ultra Race has a zero tolerance policy towards runners taking performance enhancing drugs. You may be asked following our race to give a urine sample for drug testing- In this instance, you must comply and give a urine sample IF you want to be eligible for receiving prize money.
PRIZE FUND
In 2023, The Kauai 50 gave away $55,000 in PRIZE MONEY. The prize distributions for 2024 are TBA. Prizes only applicable to the Kauai 50 Miler and not the Half Marathon distance.
Cutoff Times
The Kauai 50 Mile runners will have 14 Hours total to complete the race. No cutoff time for the Half Marathon runners.
Pacers
The Kauai 50 mile runners may have one pacer for the final loop. Pacers will not be allowed for the Half Marathon distance race.
Course Info
The Kauai 50 Mile Race will be around Kauai Coffee Farm! The course will consist of 4, 12.8 mile loops around the Coffee Farm. For a portion of the race, the route will hug the coastline and boast some epic views! Much of the farm has hard packed dirt paths and is well maintained. The course has minimum tree cover and makes for a very humid and hot race experience. The terrain isn't considered very technical and our first place champion Ryan Miller wore Hoka Rocket X2 road shoes in the Inaugural victory.

Loop Distance: Approximately 12.8 Miles
Loop Elevation Gain/Loss: Approximately 700 FT
Refunds
In the very unlikely situation, The Kauai 50 Miler and Half Marathon does not take place, all registered participants will receive a full refund for their race signup (excluding taxes and Ultrasignup fee)!
Aid Stations/ Drop Bags
The Kauai 50 has 4 aid stations throughout the race, approximately every 3 miles. Although snacks and beverages will be available at aid stations, runners are encouraged to leave drop bags at preferred aid stations and have crew help at the start/finish line.
