About
The Massanutten Mountain Trails (MMT) 100 Mile and 100K are challenging trail ultramarathons held on demanding, rocky terrain in the Massanutten Mountains of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Both distances feature rugged mountain climbs, technical trails, and relentless elevation changes that test even the most experienced runners. The 100-mile course includes over 18,000 feet of climbing, making it one of the more demanding trail ultras in the region. While the May race date typically avoids Virginia’s brutal summer heat, runners should be prepared for unpredictable weather, including heavy rain and severe thunderstorms, as experienced in previous years. Despite the challenging terrain and conditions, MMT is known for its exceptionally well-stocked aid stations, dedicated and friendly volunteers, and excellent course markings.

IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND, WE WILL REFUND THE CREDIT CARD USED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. REGARDLESS OF A REFUND WE DO APPRECIATE YOU LETTING US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO WITHDRAW. Above dates and cutoffs apply to both races equally.
