Rio Grande 100

The Rio Grande 100 starts and finishes on the banks of the mighty Rio Grande River in beautiful South Fork, Colorado. The race takes you though the amazing La Garita mountains, from arid forest to alpine tundra peaking out over 12,000 foot above sea level 4 times. You will enjoy golden aspen leaf covered trails and more rocks than you will care to remember. The Rio Grande 100 has all the challenge the Rocky Mountains have to provide with a fun low key race vibe that crew and racers will love. As many of you know the 2022 event was called of about 22 hours into the race due to a snow storm, this year we are making changes to help make sure the race can continue even through bad weather, runner and volunteer safety always comes first. This is a late season event and snow is very likely our combined preparedness can make this one of the most challenging and rewarding races you will ever encounter.
