This race is open to any age and any fitness level. We do ask all kids stay with their parents or guardians for safety.
At this time dogs aren't allowed on the trails with runners.
Sorry, no refunds.
Drop bags
For those crazy enough to do the 8 hour version of this race- food and supplies are going to be important! We'll have an area right by the lap finish line for your drop bags to go for a quick in and out. We'll also have lots of yummy things, water, tailwind and necessary extras at our community table.
Got questions? We got answers
Where does the race start? The race begins at the check-in area of the campgrounds. In your GPS if you put in "Wompatuck State Park," and follow signs for the campgrounds you'll get there no problem.
Parking? We will have plenty of spots at the transfer station which is located a few hundred feet away from the camp ground entrance. Think of it as a warmup. For anyone doing the 8HR- feel free to drop off your supplies at the campground before heading down to the parking area.
What supplies should I bring? We suggest bringing water and food. If you're doing the 8HR it's not a bad idea to bring extra socks/shoes, change of clothes, extra snacks, water, etc. We welcome anyone to drop off goodies at our community table.
Porta potties: We will have porta potties on site on the start/finish of the race.
Trail conditions: By April most snow will be melted but expect some mud and water on the trails.
Packet pickup: Friday, April 19: 12-6p at TA Fitness Weymouth (70 Finnell Dr #4) April 20th at the park beginning at 7a
Day of registration: If we aren't full we will have day-of registration from 7-7:30a.
Meet the race director
Jen Cavanagh is the owner and head trainer of TA Fitness; an obstacle course and functional fitness gym based out of Weymouth, Ma.
Jen began running for fitness and mental health. Her passion for running grew and she soon tried an ultra marathon- and she fell in love. She has traveled around the country running all different kinds of races and now it is time for her to direct her own!
Her goal over the years has been to introduce her clients to running and help them grow to love it as much as she does. Whether you are walking the 5k or running your heart out during the 8 year, she'll be there cheering you on!
A race for everyone
Our race has three options for you to choose from:
5K: The 5K option is perfect for anyone who wants to run and is happy just getting out and finishing early enough to enjoy their day. The course loops around Prospect Hill and heads back into the camp ground. The course is mostly trail but does have about a mile of pavement and about 150ft of elevation. This is a great course if you're looking for a PR or to be introduced into trail running.
5M: The 5M option is for those who trained hard all winter and is ready to show off their training! The 5M and 8H runners stay together for the entire route. The route is mainly trail but has some pavement and about 350ft of elevation gain.
8H: The 8H option is for those crazy people that just love to push their limits. The course is a 5 mile route with 350ft of elevation that you can do as many times as you want in the 8 hours. Your last lap must start by 2:40. This 8 Hour is limited to just 30 runners to ensure everything runs smoothly so don't wait to sign up!
Food?!
Aid stations:
There will be a community food and drink table at the start/finish where you can load up on yummy things. We'll have gluten free options, vegan options, nut free and whatever anyone wants to bring. On the course there will be a water and snack aid station ~2 miles into the race for both courses.
