The goal of the Ultra Race of Champions is to bring together runners of all abilities alongside the best long distance runners in the World, celebrating the inclusive nature of the sport. UROC gives back to the sport by perpetuating the sense of community which makes ultra running so unique and providing one of the most scenic and memorable courses in the USA.
The day includes the UROC 100K, 50K and 25K and the Kids UROC. The course is a stunning Blue Ridge Mountains gem, starting and finishing at breathtaking 12 Ridges Vineyard with amazing 360 degrees views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. The course is a mix of single track trails and jeep roads, with short sections on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Best of the Best, One Course, One Day.
12/4/20: UROC HAS FILLED IN RECORD TIME, BUT DON'T DESPAIR! IF YOU WANT TO RUN, PUT YOUR NAME ON THE WAITLIST!
We have historically been able to move ALL wait list runners to the entrants list as folks withdraw. Your chances are very good to run UROC. Safety Protocol | Out of abundance of caution, the field has been cut and will be limited to 250 in all three events combined with waves and extensive safety protocols in place. Hopefully, the Covid situation will improve though the winter and spring. If so, we hope to be able to open up additional spots into the race. When that happens, we will be selecting runners from the wait list to be entered into the race. In order to be moved from the waitlist onto the entrants list, YOU MUST ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD WHEN REGISTERING FOR THE WAITLIST. Runners who do not enter their credit card will be deleted from the waitlist and the next person will be selected. You may withdraw from the waitlist at any time PRIOR to being selected, but you may not hold a spot from someone else if you do not intend on running the event. If you don't want to be charged, withdraw from the event, otherwise you will be charged and entered into the race.
No Refund Policy | Since Virginia is still in Phase III, for 2021 we are limiting entries to 250. Because of the remote nature of the race and given the numerous events that have occurred around the country larger than UROC, we are very confident that we will hold the event with extensive safety measures on May 1. Therefore, we are going ahead with all organizations tasks and expenses required. Additional measures, such as waves, might need to be implemented if necessary. However, please note that entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable. If you are not willing to assume the risk of a possible cancellation, please do not register or wait until closer to the event. Organizing UROC takes many months and many resources, and it is not financially feasible to offer refunds because of a cancellation beyond our control. Therefore, by registering, you understand and agree that your race entry is non-refundable and non-deferrable.
Traditionally, UROC registration has opened in August: we have waited two months to have a better understanding of our ability to host the 2021 event. Because of its course and beauty, UROC has become extremely popular. For 2021, we are limiting entries to 250. With all of this said, please only register if you are willing to assume the risk of lost entry.
