C&O Canal 100
Description
The C&O Canal 100-mile race is your chance to chase big goals along the stunning Potomac River! Perfect for first-time 100-milers and veterans alike, this fast and friendly course offers one ~40-mile loop followed by two ~30-mile loops on the historic C&O Canal towpath, with nearly every mile close to the water and the Appalachian mountains. Starting at Camp Manidokan and stretching between Antietam and Brunswick, MD, you’ll run alongside beautiful riverside scenery for the entire course.
There will be approximately 7 aid stations placed throughout each loop, some of which you will encounter multiple times. The distances between aid stations range from 3-6.9 miles. See the website for a more detailed course description and the official course map.
With temperate spring weather, low elevation, and smooth terrain, this race is ideal for a personal best or an inspiring 100-mile debut. Expect top-notch support from our incredible volunteers and well-stocked aid stations all along the course. Get ready for an unforgettable journey on the towpath!
